Philosophy Statement

I embrace the contemporary thinking that art is less about the artist and more about whoever encounters the work. What was her experience? What thoughts were brought up by the art?

My art practice is not about finding answers; but rather, it’s about fostering our ability to think critically, and trying to discover what questions still need to be asked.

Whether through allowing nature to be my participant, or engaging the general pubic directly, I hope that those who are confronted by my work may find themselves asking new questions about the world. And in this, the viewer then completes the work for himself or herself.
